The Best Spots in NYC

Who doesn’t love NYC!! New York is without a doubt one of my favorite places to visit. We found all the best spots and I am so excited to share. I was honestly so sad to go home and would stay forever if I could!

The first obvious thing to talk about is food. New York is known for its amazing restaurants, and I have to say we went to some pretty great places.

Bubbies: I am starting off with one of my absolute favorites. Going to Bubbies is a must every time I am in the city. It is the perfect place for brunch, but make reservations because there is usually a wait. All their food is fresh comfort food, and you will always leave stuffed. If you go make sure to order their famous biscuits, you won’t be disappointed!

Balthazar: This French restaurant in SoHo definitely hit the spot! After a full morning of walking, I was starving, and this was exactly what I needed. This is another place you need to make reservations for because it’s so popular! Everything we got was delicious and is great for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Beatrice Inn: In terms of food this was hand down the best place we went. On our last night in New York, we went to this steakhouse, and I don’t even have words to describe how good it was. We got appetizers and they have some food that is pretty out there, so I didn’t even know what some of the stuff I was eating was, but all I know was that it was all AMAZING!! I got a hamburger because I am not a big fan of steak (I know I am crazy!) but it was one of the best burgers I have ever had. It was a pricer restaurant but with the great food and service, it was worth it. I could write a whole book on this restaurant, if you are in NYC you don’t want to miss out on this one.

Marlow and Sons: Probably the cutest and most insta worth restaurant we went to! Its located in Brooklyn, and seemed like the place all the locals loved. My dad and I split the yogurt with granola and the rice bowl with vegetables and they were both sooo good but o.m.g. the rice bowl was to die for!! They make healthy food taste like dessert. I definitely, want to spend more time in Brooklyn after coming here.

Since we ate all this food, we had to make sure we also got our workout in! We probably burned enough calories just walking the whole day, but we also did some fun workouts, that I know yall would love

Peloton: Peloton is a cycling class, similar to soul cycle, but I think I like it even more. They have different types of classes based off the music genre, which makes it so fun. My dad and I did the country ride with the instructor Denis and we both loved it. It was about a 45-minute class, but it went by so fast. It is also is easy because they tell you the whole time how fast you should be going, and how hard to make it depending on the hill your climbing. You have to go try this one out for your self, it was seriously one of the best workouts I have had.

Running in Central Park: Over the summer I tried to get into running, and it is still not my favorite thing to do but in Central Park, it was a whole different experience. I actually enjoyed it this time! I was distracted by all the views and didn’t realize how far I was even going. I think I went for about an hour and a half and went 6 miles. I ran some and walked some, but it was definitely an enjoyable workout. Plus you get two things done at once, you get to see Central Park (which you have to do when you’re in New York) and I got to get my workout in for the day.

Aside from eating and working out, we saw and did some other stuff that you can only do in NYC that you don’t want to miss!

Dry Bar: They don’t have a dry bar in Alabama, so I can never miss the opportunity for a good blow out. I have been to one before in Chicago and they are just so much fun and do the best job! Even if you do not have somewhere special to go just treat yourself, and go to Dry Bar. It is also the prettiest place ever with all the white and yellow.

Hillsong Church: This was truly one of my favorite parts of New York. Sunday morning we went, and the energy was incredible. The line to get in was around the block, and it was so exciting seeing so many people so pumped up about Jesus. The worship was amazing and so was the message. The whole thing was such a good experience, and I will be for sure be back here

Glossier: CUTEST PLACE EVER!! I had heard about the Glossier showroom but was only going to go if we happen to pass it and we did! Everyone who worked there was so nice and helpful, and next time I need new makeup or skincare stuff I am ordering Glossier. sooo good!!

Top of 30 Rock:  The views. wow. I don’t have words to describe how beautiful it was. Seeing the whole city from above is crazy. Last time we went during the day, but going at night was totally different. It is also the best spot for pictures. Look at this picture for a sneak peek, but you should really go see it for yourself if you get the chance!

Every time I go to New York, I have the best time and there is always something new to do. Let me know if yall go to any of these places next time your there and tell me how you like it!
