This is one of my all-time favorites, and now my screensaver lol! I love seeing it every day. I made this one after taking a trip to the beach alone for a few days. It was so nice to be by myself and I did a lot of reflecting. I realized on over these few days and just the past two months of being at home that I want more adventure in my life. Why am I going to stay in one place, when there is so much of God’s creation to see and people to meet.
This collage is a few of my favorite pictures of my favorite views. These pictures come from home, from the top Mt. Shasta in California, and all the way from the ocean views in Hawaii.
After realizing my desire to see and do more I started planning things I wanted to do. The main thing on my list right now is to learn how to sail. I have always loved the water and boats. Since I currently can’t take any classes in person I started doing lots of research and online classes. It is a lot harder than I thought, but it something I am determined to learn how to do.
While all of these thoughts were going on I was not spending my time with God. This was one of the longest periods times I had gone without doing quiet times, going to church, talking about it with family/friends, etc. I just felt so forgotten about and so distant from the Lord. The past few weeks I have been coming back to Him and of course, it’s so good!! His grace is unreal and His love is always there no matter how far we go. Anyways, last Sunday morning I woke up around 7:30 am just on my own which never happens. Since I was up I decided to watch church online for the first time in about two months. and WOW God really blew me away. Our church is called 3 Circle and the sermon was all about how we need to share God’s word and love locally, regionally, and globally – wherever God calls you to go! It’s based on the verse Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Our pastor talked to different people involved in our church who went on the adventure God called them to go on. He also kept saying, “put the boat in the water.” I took this as we need to say yes to God and go where he leads us! It could be across the room or across the world. This saying was obviously a metaphor but I thought it was ironic I took an online sailing class the day before I heard this!
I have learned life with Jesus, isn’t boring and His adventures will always be the best! I feel like he has something BIG coming. Right now, I am praying a lot about where He wants me to go and what he wants me to do. I have no idea what it will be, but I am excited to find out what He has planned.
